We welcome for baptism all who live in the parish or have a connection with it. Baptism is the first stage on the Christian journey, when a child or adult becomes a member of the Body of Christ, the Universal Church.
Normally adults are baptised and confirmed at the same service. Confirmation happens when young people or adults wish to make that conscious decision to affirm their Christian faith, and involves re-affirming baptismal vows, and the laying on of hands and anointing by the Bishop.
We prepare children for First Holy Communion from the age of seven.
We also welcome those enquiring about and exploring the Christian faith. If you would like to talk, come along to Mass or use the contact form here.
